Chippenham ASC Synchro swimmers competed at Cheltenham on Saturday for the Walsall Trophy against six other Clubs from the South West. The novice duet was won by Lillia Barnett and Evie Garrett performing a routine for the first time at this event. Bethany Barnett and Zoe Bird came 3rd in the Skill 1 duet and Abbie Cross and Soraya Chesworth came 1st in the Skill 2 duet. The junior team (Courtney Matthews, Charity Sugg, Madison Lavelle, Amy Gibbons, Zoe Bird, Bethany Barnett, Serena Jackson, Elise Lambern) and the senior team (Jess Smith, Lani Attiwell, Marsha Burgess, Lauren Makepeace, Natalie Dodd, Francesca Graham, Shona Moore, Abbie Cross, Soraya Chesworth, Chloe Makepeace) both took the silver medals.
Points are awarded for the position each routine finishes in, and when the scores were finalized, Chippenham had the most points and took home the Trophy which they had last won in 2008.
